Role and intervention of ATSEC Jharkhand against trafficking and sexual exploitation of children and women.

Awareness generation with grass root individuals and Institutions, NGOs, Media, Govt. Officials, Religious Leaders, Education & Health Institution, Information and Documentation Institution on the issue of trafficking and sexual exploitation. To organise awarness generation programmes on : Laws related to Women. Laws related to children. Laws related to labourers. Laws related to prevention and protection of child labour. Rights to child, and juvenile Justice.
Mobilize youth volunteers for active compaign against trafficking of women and children. Formation of inter religious Priest Forum in all District and also on state level. Establishing linkages / contacts with NGO network working within country and in Bangladesh (in case of border trafficking) to make arrangements for restoration and repatriation of children and women rescued from different parts of India.
Educate women communities about girl children trafficking and children sexual abuse. Collaboration coordination and other effective effort at state level to combat child trafficking. Sensitization of CBOs, panchyats and priest forum to ensure progressive action for preventing trafficking. Conducting training programmes for the personnel related to police, social welfare, judiciary and media there by strenghening the existing setup and creating awareness against trafficking. Promoting interpersonal communication by visiting government leaders, lawmakers and society leaders for prevention of trafficking of women and children.
Rescue and rehabilitation of trafficked children by providing education counseling and a safe shelter home. Individual counseling for the victims with emphasis on emotional support. Restoration to the family after professional intervention and follow up of such cases. Repatriation in the case of cross - border trafficking. Provide self-sustainable programmes at the grass root level to VDCs concerned by girl children trafficking. Coordinating linkages with different programmes related to child and women rights for eliminating trafficking and sexual abuse. ATSEC Jharkhand is also providing legal support to victims. Freedom of all child victims from persecution or harassment in position of authority.
